Brockport Central School District's Food Service Department wants your child to have a positive experience with our School Meals Program. Breakfast and lunch are offered daily while school is in session. We hope your child, and many others, will participate every day!

Free and Reduced Meals

• If you have not filled out a free/reduced application for your child and feel you qualify, please do so as soon as possible. Additional information and the application to apply can be found on the Food Services/Free and Reduced Meals tab. You will receive a computer-generated response within two to three days from the day we receive your application.
• If your family was on the program last year, you need to add your kindergartner by the time school begins. They are not rolled over from last year.

Ginther School Breakfast

Students who participate in our breakfast program will get off the bus and go straight to their classroom, where their teacher will send them to the cafeteria. If you do not want your student particiating in the breakfast program, please submit a note to the Food Service office, via the Snack Restriction Form or by emailing the office. The daily choice for breakfast is printed on the monthly menu.

Lunch for Kindergartners

There are various lunch choices each day at Ginther School. We have the main choice, the daily entree choices, of a fresh julienne salad with dressing and roll, a flavored, lowfat yogurt with whole grain animal crackers and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Daily choices are referenced on the monthly menu that will come home to you with your child and is posted on the District website.

Parent/Student Interaction

Parents are a child's best role models. Please discuss the menu with your child each day and help them make a decision on which lunch and side choices they plan on selecting. Your input can guide them toward food choices you wish them to eat or try. Ask them for feedback at the end of the day to know what they did or did not like.

Prepayment

This option is wonderful for you, your child and us. It reduces the possibility of lost money, makes the lunch line move along faster so your child has more time to eat and socialize. You can check your child's account by setting up a MySchoolBucks Account, learn more on our Prepayments tab. You may also call our office at (585) 637-1846 to check your child's accounts, just ask for Jessica or Brittney. Send a check in with your child to the school or mail it directly to the School Meals Office at 40 Allen Street, Brockport, NY 14420.
