BCSD Celebrates Music in Our Schools

March is recognized as Music in our Schools Month, and Brockport Central School District is drawing attention to the amazing music programs we have for our students in each of our schools.

Throughout the month of March, the district will be sharing video clips of various peeks inside the music classroom, whether that is a second-grade class at Barclay, a virtual one-on-one band lesson or a chorus rehearsal with students socially distanced in the auditorium.

Last year, Brockport Central was honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation by The NAMM Foundation for the fifth time! This year, the department has demonstrated that honor by going above and beyond for its students, adapting lessons and rehearsals for both in-person and remote learners.

You can watch a video segment from music programs throughout the district at the links below.

In lieu of an in-person all-district concert, BHS Strings presents a virtual concert at the link below!

March is always a busy month for music education, and this year even in the pandemic, we all were able to celebrate Music in Our Schools in new ways.

We hope you will enjoy Brockport High School's evening at the Cabaret!
