The Brockport Central School District is one of 156 school districts and BOCES in New York State to receive the Utica National Insurance Group's "School Safety Excellence Award" for 2019 at the Titanium with honors level. 

The award is given annually to recognize school districts' safety efforts. Categories covered included bullying prevention programs, playground safety and other areas. 

In addition to the certificate, the district has been awarded $500 for continuing safety efforts. 

Utica National Insurance group is a nationally recognized insurer providing personal and commercial insurance. The award program has three levels - titanium, platinum or gold.
