Four Brockport Students Earn Top Honors at SkillsUSA State Conference

Big congratulations to four Brockport students who earned top finishes at the SkillsUSA New York Area 1 Regional Competition through the Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES Career and Technical Education program. More than 100 Career and Technical Education students from component districts across the region participated in this year’s event, showcasing their skills in a range of industry-based competitions.
Brockport’s top finishers included:
- Genevieve Contrera – 3rd place, Opening and Closing Ceremonies
- Audrey Kalish – 3rd place, Opening and Closing Ceremonies
- Adalyn Stott – 3rd place, Photography
- Henry Wallington – 3rd place, Carpentry student in the Team Works Competition
The New York Association of SkillsUSA hosted the New York State Leadership Conference and Skills Championships at the Syracuse Fairgrounds from April 22–24.
The annual event brings together Career and Technical Education students from across New York State to demonstrate technical skills, collaborate in competitive events, and apply classroom learning through real-world, industry-based challenges.
